Hey Friends!
A little about me: I’ve always loved traveling. I grew up moving cities about every 4 years from when I was born (Toronto, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Fairfield County, & Atlanta) until middle school where my family put their roots down where they both grew up north of Boston.
It was in the Summers at camp as a pre-teen in Maine that I fell in LOVE with sailing and then ended up going to Sail Caribbean in high school (The Yacht Week for teenagers) as a camper for multiple summers meeting friends from all over the world. (I knew that this need for sailing, traveling, and meeting new people was not over).

SAIL CARIBBEAN 2005
After high school, I went to College in Florida and majored in Critical Media and Cultural studies and then lived in NYC for about 6 years working mostly in Entertainment including over 3 years as the Assistant to LuAnn on the Real housewives of NYC and other Celebrity assistant gigs that were AMAZING! I love NYC, but I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to all my friends and my apartment in East Village. I had that travel bug and I knew that two weeks of corporate vacation was not enough to scratch it...
"If you have any kind of urge to go out and do something and you can, you should go out and do it! There will never be a "right" time to do anything. We can always make excuses not to take that flight, quit that job, accept a position around the world, or tell that person how much they mean to us. The truth was for me, NYC was always going to be there when I got back, so I decided to take a risk! "

I researched jobs where I could be on the water since I’ve always loved sailing & I came across Quarterdeck and The Yacht Week on social media. I joined the team as a host and it was the DREAM. Make sure to read my other blog post on joining us! Not only did I live in Croatia and Greece all Summer working for The Yacht Week, but I traveled with friends to: Barcelona, Ibiza, Madrid, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Munich, Naples, Florence, Rome, Positano, and Capri & more.

After the epic Summer season of hosting, I decided to become a Skipper too. I moved to South Africa and studied at Sail Due South for 2 months in Fall 2016 and got my Yachtmaster Coastal Certification and STCW certification! After that, I got an amazing opportunity to work for TYW BVI over New Years Eve as a Chef one week and as Event staff the other week! I LOVED doing both! After TYW BVI, I stayed in the BVI. I got to work as a Yacht Chef for families and couples on more upscale private charters, which was great experience for me to enhance my skills! At the end of January, I spent time sailing on my friends boat around the Spanish Virgin Islands (Culebra, Culebrita!).

With Mom in Grenada in February 2017
My mom met me in Puerto Rico to sail 4 days straight down to Grenada, where we spent a few weeks. I then got the job as Recruitment Manager for Quarterdeck and flew to Miami for the International Boat show to spread the word! After that, I spent a month in LA and got to visit a bunch of friends that I had met my first Summer on the water! After that, I flew back to BVI and got to work as a Private Yacht Chef again, gaining more experience in my favorite place in the world and working Yacht Week's Spring Event out of Hodge's Creek Marina (where I worked as Office Manager in 2010!). After that I flew to San Francisco to visit family and from there I flew to The Ski Week Aspen for one of the BEST weeks of my life!
